PLEASE NOTE: My studio space is now upstairs at Crucible- previously at the old shop location, it was downstairs, but I'm now on the second floor and it is only accessible via a staircase. Therefore, if ascending and descending stairs is a challenge for you, let me know and it will be easy to arrange to work at one of the downstairs stations for our appointment, which are wheelchair accessible.
COVID safety:
- I am totally happy to do a RAT test prior to our appointment, and/or to wear a mask during our appointment. Let me know if you’d feel more comfortable with either of these things. With masks, even if you decide once you’re at our session- that’s totally fine, feel free to let me know on the day.
- Please do not attend your appointment if you are unwell, and try to let me know as soon as possible if you cannot attend. Deposits for COVID related rescheduling will be honoured and carried forth to the next available date.
Let me know if there's anything you need or anything I can do to make your tattoo appointment more comfortable!
This could include (but is not necessarily limited to) any of the following:
- Ear plugs for noise cancellation
- A quiet/non communicative session
- Wheelchair access
- A support person who will attend your appointment with you *
* Regarding a support person, this can definitely be arranged so let me know- I just prefer to know when there might be a support person or friend attending so that I remember to set up the space for a guest
FURTHER ACCESSIBILITY + COMFORT INFO
I have fidget toys, ear plugs and additional pillows at my station.
If you are sensitive to light (for example, you might experience migraines triggered by light), please bring sunglasses or an eye mask to wear. I have a pair of sunglasses I can provide you at my station, but your own personal pair may be more comfortable. My room has some bright LED lights on the ceiling, and I have an LED light I use for tattooing but that will be localised to the area we will tattoo.
Please also feel free to bring a blanket and/or a big jumper to your session. Sitting or laying down still for extended periods of time will cause your body temperature to drop. We also have a heater in the room, but bringing a blanket or a big jumper is advisable if you tend to run cold.
If you need wheelchair access or find climbing/descending stairs is not suitable, please let me know as mentioned above- I can definitely make arrangements to tattoo you downstairs.
If you are sensitive to sounds and you have noise cancelling headphones or loops, I would say it's a good idea to bring them just in case you need them. My room is only shared with one other artist, but the room does not have a door so you may be able to hear coil machines from the room across the hall. If high pitched noises bother you, it's best to bring ear plugs/headphones just in case. I have foam ear plugs at my station I can give you at any point- but they're not as comfortable as the personal reusable earplugs people have so you might prefer to bring your own personal set.
